Someone might value the uniqueness of the 5 string and the fretless aspect. Add in the special (and expensive) work done by a known pro luthier and you have a pro instrument. I'd say it's worth close to what I'm asking. I'm not saying the price won't come down in the future if it doesn't sell right away. I'm just saying THAT'S NOT UP TO YOU. Now leave me alone please.

It is not uncommon for regular citizens to do craigslist deals at/in front of a police stations, to minimize potential for muggings/grab-and-run/other such behavior. Folks get nervous standing in the parking lot of a closed Arby's with $1500 cash in their hand.
