For the right price it's probably a great bass. I've never heard of a bad Spector anyway. All the ones I've tried and owned were awesome.

Yes, I have Spector Legend Standard..it's what I'm using now for pretty much everything hard & heavy. The Korean strings that came on it were awful and made it sound really bad. I replaced them with Ernie Ball Hybrid (105, 85, 65, 45), and it sounds great (i almost returned it before suspecting the strings were bad and trying new ones..if I'd tried it in a store the way it came, i never would've bought it..that's how bad the strings that came on it were)...plenty of low-end, and a decent growl from the P-Bass pick-up. The jazz pick-up is really weak on its own, but blends well with the other and smooths out the raw natural tone of the P-Bass pick-up. The action and string spacing is good. I'd rather have a single volume knob and pick-up blend than 2 volume knobs, but that could be modded pretty easily. I'm not crazy about how you have to unscrew the entire back plate in order to change the battery...but over-all, it's a great bass for 500 bucks.
thats all talkbass is just a bunch of different peoples opinions so if i wasnt suppose to do that then having the talkbass site is pretty pointless

'Entry level' is more accurate. I haven't met a Spector that wasn't a joy to play, minor set up issues aside
how much is the seller asking, if you don't mine telling us? That Japanese site has a yen price which converts to around $650
Within the Legend series, these Asian market custom plus basses are the best sounding ones for sure, short of the new Legend neck through with the Aguilars and the OBP, which are 1400 bucks, you can't beat these. They sound very good for the price point. Not many video clips being as they are Asian market instruments but there are a few...
That's not an older Euro either. The body edges around both horns are to 'squared' and not rounded down enough. Also the control knobs are not spaced evenly, the two closest to the pickups are spaced closer together, it's a really odd instrument. Euros also had real EMG pickups, and those on the OP are not shaped like any EMG/EMG-HZ I've ever seen.
Pickups can be swapped. The body isn't NS-2000 shaped. The NS-2A didn't come in quilt top, and it doesn't look like a Legend Custom, to me. There's no tummy cut.
The older Legend Standards had the reverse P pickup in them...this has the regular P orientation. I cannot find a pic of the 2004-2006 Legends that have a regular P pickup
What's interesting is that when i got mine, i figured it was from 2004-2006, cuz that was the only Korean build of Spector Legend Standard that i saw on Spector's website...but mine doesn't have the gold finished parts that are spec'ed in that build description. I just got it last month, and it was brand new in the box...and mine didn't sit in a warehouse for 10 years, unless someone opened it and put a fresh battery in it. The pickups on mine are just like the one pictured by the OP...same finish style, too..mine's just the black/grey. This one must be new then..just with the gold finish bridge and knobs. I paid 504.00 USD for mine.
