Is this tone attainable on a typical jazz?

Leave both pickups full on, tone full on or about 75%, pluck near neck and then alternate between that and playing between the pickups.

Hey guys, in case you are interested, I seem to have sorta nailed this tone. All I really had to was boost treble around 2kh and add a little bit of bass back in (I suppose that qualifies as scooped). Oh, and dig in like hell. This is with fingerstyle and month old Roto Flats, plus all of the knobs on the bass at full. Answer to thread title: Yes, but with some slight EQ'ing. I didn't know tone had anything to do with how loose you had your guitar strap...
