Is Warwick my last option? 6 string woes.

I've been playing 6'ers almost as long as i've been playing bass. I can get along with almost all 4's, the majority of 5's, but 6's....i've been slowly narrowing down what I do and don't need/like. I may have narrowed too far.

Am I missing a manufacturer that meets my criteria?

34" Scale
Aggressive(ish) tone, or pups that can be swapped for more aggressive ones.
24 frets
Bolt On
At least 17.5mm spacing
Can be had new/used for 1k or below. I'm not made of money.

So am I all the way down to Warwick? A Bongo would fit the bill, except for price, right?

warwick bridge distances are adjustable. so it can be 16.5 mm or 17 or tighter.

i play death metal and other agressive music and warwicks work wonders for it. i play finger style and it never feels too narrow.

Here i was thinking that only Warwick had the adjustable spacing. Can anybody confirm that those hipshot bridges are adjustable for spacing?

They are.

Hipshot style A Bass bridges are available in a wide variety of string spacing; in your choice of aluminum or brass. Type A bridges feature variable string spacing adjustment and thru the body option for even greater versatility and fine intonation adjustment as well.
