Whew, that's a tough one. Both my bass and my car are top of the line, and both were gifts so putting monetary value to either is something I rarely think about. My bass is the first Steinberger L2 fretless 5 string ever made, it has the actual prototype bridge of this design. I have it because my best friend was Ned's first employee in Brooklyn and I was, you know....there. My car is an un-unique, but equally free, yellow Toyota '88 pickup truck. Ok, so it's not a one of a kind like my 'berger, but it is a terrific tool and I use it as much as I use my bass. I guess you'd say that they were both worth about the same to me, even though the 'berger is probably worth more in monetary sense.
