Is your Warwick neck uncomfortable?

As has been mantioned,Warwick's standard neck profile is again C shaped,as in pre 1998 necks.
The Warwick custom shop offers 3 neck profiles,
thick neck(post 1998-pre 2009)
slim neck(pre 1998-post 2009)
extra slim.

warwick custom shop cost too much for me to be an option.if i will buy another bass it must be under 2000 euros like mine(streamer stage 2 5string,jb2 fretless and sr1005efm)

Ok...

I had a german Warwick Corvette fretted. I thought the neck was uncomfortable. (not to big, just didn't like it)

I have a german Warwick Corvette Fretless, and I love it

I also have a german Warwick 2004 LTD FNA JAZZMAN, that I absolutely love! It has the best neck I have ever played on a Wick.

There have been a couple posts here that will lead us to believe that these necks are the same. I do not believe it. Although I haven't measured them, I can say that my LTD FNA has never led to any cramps in my hands. The fretted Vette did on more than one occasion.

Nope.

My Thumb's neck is very comfortable to play. Smooth and solid. Practically holds itself, unlike an Ibanez I used to have, where the neck felt like a chopstick. I had to pinch that thing so tight, it cramped up my hand. With the Thumb, I can press with my fingers alone much of the time, and since the neck is thick, I don't have to pinch or press with any real force to maintain stability. I can play it for hours without fatigue.

But... everyone has their preference, and there isn't a 'best' neck for everyone, just some.

i went from a MIA 83 Jazz to a 04 Proline Vette 4..

the first few months with it were a real pain.. i developed tendonitis in my fretting wrist/hand.. i had to rest (stop playing it) and rethink my technique.. although they are both 34", the neck on the Warwick is shifted to the left (i'm right handed) and the first fret is a longer reach for me if the body is positioned in the same spot as the Jazz was.. i had to shorten my strap, purposefully shift the body farther back to get the 1 fret in a similar position as the Jazz was.. and had to rethink wrist position when playing..

i literally had to conform to the Warwick.. i didn't want to get rid of it, due to the tone.. but, it was one of the worse cases of playing tendonitis i've had, ever..

now, that i understand how to play this bass and not hurt myself in the process, it's effortless in playing.. it's become my first choice..

for some people, i can fully understand the issues involved with playing Warwicks.. the U shaped necks were just laughably huge and unwieldy for me.. if i had one, i'd have to shave the neck down to a more comfortable shape.. but for some, they are comfortable and perfect..

it's like shoes.. not all feet are comfortable in any one style of shoe.. understanding that, not all neck profiles will suit all hands.. you really must spend some time with a particular Warwick to really know if you're going to enjoy it, or not..

i like mine, but it was painful at first..
