Is your Warwick neck uncomfortable?

I've got a '91 Thumb and the neck on it is great. There is one issue though: The short upper horn means the strap point is around the 16th fret, and if you're playing an ostinato with a stretch around the first and second frets for any appreciable length of time it will be a problem. Apart from that though it's a lovely bass to play, everybody who picks it up offers me money for it. Even guitarists. 
I've never played a Warwick I like, not once. And every single time it's the neck. They're beautiful sounding and looking, built well, and sit in the mix well I imagine, but just that neck...

FWIW, the standard necks were changed back to the slim shape in 2010. For quite a few years, our US distributor had requested all Fat Necks, and this where a lot of people experience dislike. Our current standard neck is a Slim-C shape, and very comfortable. We offer 3 types of necks on 4 string basses, and also the broadneck on 5 & 6 string basses. Slim-C is standard, and we also offer the Fat Neck U-shape, the extra Slim-C, and the broadneck flat-U shape.

I was so in love with the Growl of my 2007 Corvette that I didn't really notice it but.....After a while the whole bass started to feel less comfortable for me than MY Fender Jaguar. I have small hands and play with my Bass fairly Horizontal and high up. That probably has a lot to do with it. My Jag gets a ton of growl and it plays just like a well set up J bass. Therefore the Corvette just gets ignored. JM2C
So prior to 2010 the C necks were still being produced? I'm amazed that distributors were choosing only the U-necks. Were they having problems with the C-necks?

bass12 - Our previous distributor would order instruments with the Fat Neck, although there were other options available. Our current standard neck profile, since 2010, is the Slim C-shape neck. Thanks!

I can pretty much jump from a Sadowsky neck, to a Music Man neck, to a Warwick neck... no problem. It helps that they are all "J" style (1.5" nut) necks.
Warwick necks are a little unique but run a few scales up and down and I'm comfortable with it.

The slim C-shaped neck was standard prior to 1993, when it was changed to the Fat-neck as standard. In 2010, we made the change back to using the slim neck as the standard neck shape. I hope that helps. Thanks!
