ISO Small Multi Effect for One-Off Gig Needs

Any idea about inrush at turn on?
No, I do not have a tool to measure inrush current. But it is my understanding that a modern PSU can handle normal inrush current. But please tell me more if you think this will be a problem. Are cheap switching PSU's a hazard for example?

I wouldn't call any of the power supplies I have "cheap" - Voodoo Labs and Truetone make good, solid stuff. The reason to ask about inrush current is that a responsible equipment manufacturer will rate the worst case current that a pedal needs, and that is typically inrush current. If your power supply won't supply enough current to get the pedal started (with a DSP product that can be a real issue), it doesn't matter mow much or how little the thing draws at normal operating conditions - what was quoted here.

If a pedal says it draws 500 mA, hooking it to a power supply rated for less than that is a bad idea - if things fail, it's not that either piece of gear is bad or a hazard, it's that you, as a customer, made a poor decision. And....we all know we're supposed to make good decisions.

I took a calculated risk by using the Zoom MS60b with an underrated PSU and things didn't fail. Plenty of others, also on TB, did the same and did not have failures.

But I should probably have put some disclaimer with my experience with the pedal and not encourage others to try the same (I am not going to pay for their PSU if it breaks..). Everybody should decide for themselves if they are willing to take a (calculated) risk and for that you would have to know there is a risk.

I am glad I took the risk, if I had always insisted to give it 500 mA I would not have had so many use for it as I have now!

In the future I will make a disclaimer about the 145 mA power requierments (I am an idiot, do not try this at home kids ;)). I will keep promoting this pedal. Such a handy tool, there's nothing else comparable on the market as far as I know.

could go with a line 6 HX Effects which is all the effects from the helix which imo are pretty top tier. This has no amp or cab sim

if you need amp/cab sim then try the hx stomp which is a really small foot print modeler with all the stuff the full sized helix has
If I were to seriously try multis again, I would try a Helix. The Zoom’s sounds just, in the end, didn’t work for me in live settings. I mean close, darn close, but no cigar.
