Double Bass iStrad Hybrid bow?

Has anyone tried a hybrid carbon-fiber-pernambuco bass bow?
I see Xavier Folley sells/endorses iStrad Hybrid bows.
I am now mainly a French bow player and am interested in any reviews of such bows and what to expect.

I purchased a similar bow from St. Louis Strings, a pernambuco "wrap" around a carbon-fiber core. I think it cost around $300. It's a good bow for the price. My teacher buys these to resell to her (college) students needing a bow. But I have a better bow now, an all-wood Dorfler.

Xavier's advertised iStrad goes for over cca $2K. that is kinda why I am interested in hearing if anyone has experience with those.

I'm always a little skeptical of Mr. Foley's marketing (he's an excellent musician): SHOP BOWS

The bows say "by" XF, which we know is simply marketing. The iStrad label comes from shop in Florida, probably (just guessing) sourced from China: iStrad Mammoth Silver Violin Bow - Florida Violins

That doesn't mean they can't be great bows; just the marketing.
