It was time for a new toy

After car shopping for the past few months, I finally found exactly what I've been looking for: an Infiniti Q50 Red Sport, in the color I wanted, with the options I hoped for. I narrowed it down to the Q50, a Lexus IS350, and an Acura TLX A-Spec. The IS was too small for my fat butt, and the TLX was too tame. The Q is a perfect sized car, looks great to me, is loaded with tech, and is ridiculously powerful for a luxury sedan at 400HP, managing 0-60 in about 4.5 sec. :D

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Eric, but that car is white, not red. It's shameful how the color-blind are taken advantage of.

I had a 2001 G37 Coupe back in the day. Lovely machines, but, ware bird dirt. The clear coat on the infinities isn't(? - maybe wasn't) that great. Granted, my car was red so showed imperfections pretty easily, but still, it took 3 days for a factory approved body shop to fix the damage of parking under a tree at work in the summer.

Grats on the new wheels man :)

Thanks, Funky!

I had a leased G37x back in '13. I don't remember any clear issues with mine, but my hazy memory does remember reading about issues, I think. Was a fun car, but the body style got old quick to me. I wasn't really sold on it when I first got it, so I should have expected to get sick of it quickly. The Q body looked great the first time I saw it when they first released them back in mid '13. It's only grown on me since then.

Yeah I only leased it for 2 years before moving on. These days I'm quite happy in my '18 Buick Regal GS AWD. It's quick enough, gets better than advertised mpg ( I easily manage 30 mpg - even though I'm 70-75 in the a.m. commute to work ) and it has a seriously ridiculous amount of trunk space.

I own a Buick... I guess I'm now officially my Grand Dad :D

Mine is pretty quick for what it is. What I really appreciate is how well it handles AND how it eats up the bumps on the road. I sold my '15 M3 to my brother. THAT was a fun car, but It would never be accused of being a comfortable cruiser. With down sizing and all, I'm very pleased with my new car, and my wife likes it more too :D We haven't taken it to Highway 17 yet. I look forward to that drive.
