Okay, this a topic about a production bass that doesn't really exist but you can really picture yourself with one of those and you truly believe that it's the ultimate bass 4 you yet you don't want to mod a existing instrument due to some reasons.Who knows, maybe some of the companies will notice this thread and take some of our ideas seriously.

Here goes:

1.G&L ASAT (4 and 5) with rickenbacker pickup placement
2.Gibson EB 2 J/P/MudBucker

Reason not to mod : loss of market value, respect for the manufacturing company.

yeah, kinda', but look, let's say you want a p-bass with a mudbucker in the neck, but you don't like the ideea of haking a p-bass, then suddenly bam, fender puts out a p-bass with a mudbucker in the neck, problem solved, everyone is happy.

i can't say for sure what it sounds like, but having a 'bucker that close to the neck...
