It's probably been around here: World's most expensive bass

That was in BP a while back, I thought they claimed it costed a million, not 250,000. They must have lowered the price cause no one bought it.

No, the price was $100,000 until it came to the Wynn shop, when the price then jumped to $250,000 - somebody's after a commission, I guess!

Strangely, the bass is "on hold" if you check the Ritter Royals page.

But to the OP - yeah, a few threads have been started on it before :)

The 10,000 year old mammoth ivory is actually not that big of a deal - I had a nut made out of that on the custom jazz I used to own. You can get a peice for a nut for around $10 to $15 on sites like this:
