i get crabby for the holidays also. i know the problem though. i put on this false face for my kids though. sigh. however, yes, i so understand about the holiday crabbies. i snap at everyone and have to curb it when i see what i am doing. a cure--valium anyone, just kidding. no really, don't know a cure. jsut get through it in one piece and all. you know.

Hi John, sorry to hear you've been down lately. Could be from many things, Holiday stress, less daylight, diet, sleep patterns, etc., etc. The fact that you see it is the first and biggest step to get out of the pattern. It's not unusual to feel stressed out around the holidays and at the end of the year. We reflect on what we've done vs. what we wanted to do, where we are vs. where we thought we would be, etc.

I don't know if your on any type of exercise program or not, if you are maybe change it around a bit. If not, maybe you could start a cardio program. It really works for getting the stress out of your head. If you were on a program and started to fall off due to holiday demands on your time, that could have a lot to do with it. Think about what you’re eating, the amount of exercise and sleep you’re getting, etc.

A tried and true method to get out of a “rut” is to take up a new hobby. That’s how I found the bass.

Good luck, be happy and have some fun!

I think ol' JT's crabby cuz I've been bendin' his ear with my tale of woe this past month - but I won't burden anyone else with it...any more than I already have.

...and yeah, I've been pretty cranky lately myself, but I've not been around either...

not at all, gard-er-oni. i think it's a combination of the usual holiday stress with the added malaise of a cd that's been in mastering now for 2 months..

Exercise!!! get those endorphins flowing...Anytime I feel down or cloudy or not centered,it's out the door for a good long run.Expels the toxins, clears the head..Very meditative and restorative..Hope you feel better soon.
