John Wetton's P Bass was a '60s model(old thread on here says '61) with a rosewood fretboard, and I've seen pictures of him playing it into at least the second Asia tour. On the other hand there's live footage of the Wetton/Jobson/Bozzio lineup of UK on YouTube where he's playing a maple fretboard Ibanez Roadster. And the promo video for "Nothing to Lose" shows him playing a maple fretboard with black blocks Jazz Bass, so who knows what he used on the second UK album.
