Ive decided i REALLY want an Ibanez Roadster

The active fretless Roadster shown above is sublime. I didn't know what to think about maple fretless boards until I saw one of those. They're great.

Thanks, it is pretty much the only bass I take out and play these days, despite it weighing over 5kg.

Previous owner wore through the fingerboard finish with roundwounds, then likely sanded the board to remove all traces of the finish, and then kept playing it. With roundwounds. Had some nasty grooves worn into the board, and some staining. But they were not too deep, I managed to sand them out, and many, many coats of wipe-on polyurethane (with some sanding between every few coats) and she's better than new. Did that about 10 years ago, and still not a mark visible on it (I do use flatwounds, though).
