I've put a deposit on my first Fender bass - an American Standard Precision in white/tort/maple.

It's identical to this one Invalid Link Removed

I got it for a steal brand new. Currently on layaway, but I should have it within the next month.

I'm hoping that this will be it - I'm getting a bit tired of the constant GAS and changing of instruments, and have been looking for "the one". If this feels and plays as well as it sounds I'll be set for life.

Congrats to you!. Pics of course when you get it!

I bought my American Standard 3 months ago and have had ZERO gas for a new bass, the gas has moved on to other things, but I think I am good in the bass department.....OK...maybe I have a little gas for an AS jazz now, but nothing I cant control. Congrats on you new bass, your going to love it!

I haven't really GASed for a new bass since getting my MIA, but that hasn't stopped me!!

Seriously, you're gonna love it.

Wow, that is lovely. Nice one.

Nice choice! I had one just like it, but sold it because I had too many P's. But it hit my hot button and I just had to buy it. Beautiful! Here she is with Flat Stanley catching a ride. (Some of you folks with kids might know who Flat Stanley is!)
