I've seen the new Warwicks!

Looks to me like the design team had a Ritter Raptor sitting on the bench when this one was drawn up...

...and a marleaux consat, looking at the bottom horn.
Ha!!! it's like spector meets ritter , meets marleaux...
Not particularly originalI think, but I'm sure, some will like it.
Nothing wrong with variety ;-)

It looks like it has the same strap locks and adjustable nut too. The only differences in the $$ are the neck woods (I assume), preamp, finish, fret material, and where it was built. But hey, waxing is annoying and I like passive basses anyway. This must be why GC are moving all their $$s for such a low price.

The 2009 Rockbass $$ has an ash body, maple neck & rosewood fingerboard, just a nut 3,passive pickups & passive eq.V V T with stacked pots that select the coils,in addition to the Warwick 2 piece bridge & Warwick headstock.
Some of those GC bargains are wicked.

Dude- Those prices are ridiculous.

I know they're not cheap, but these are Warwick basses, from Germany, made from expensive woods, some sourced from Africa.Built using the very latest technology,to the highest possible standards.
Also take into consideration that these are,"list prices".This is the maximum allowable price a dealer is allowed to sell for.Nobody EVER pays list price. You can expect to pay significantly less than the list price.
Elsewhere on TB there's people posting news of only paying $800US for a new Corvette at Guitar Centre. This isnt the general rule as it's right before NAMM,Warwick have a new USA distributor & alot of dealers are making space for new stock.
Used Warwicks on ebay are going for very low prices right now so if you're budget wont allow for a new bass, that might well be a better option if you're looking to buy a Warwick.
Good luck & happy bass hunting.

While I certainly agree that the T.M. Stevens Streamer is not for me, it seems to me that the fact that some of you are calling the paint job, which is probably an homage to his heritage and his ethnicity and a tribute to an entire culture, "horrendous", "abhorrent", & "should be on the hood of a low rider", a bit disrespectful. Would it be better if it had Europe instead of Africa on it? If you don't like it, why don't you just say "I don't like it."? :hmm:

No one ever said the content of the artwork was bad, I think that type of finish for a guitar/bass is generally not liked. And no, it would not be better with Europeans. It could have robots on it for all I care, it would still look ridiculous.
