Ivory nut

Looking for an ivory nut for my lakland 55-01, plastics break too often. Any suggested retailers?

Yeah! Got a wrong size that was guaranteed to fit, done w/ google. Thanks got the suggestion tho.

Just my $.02... the main reason nuts break is because a larger gauge string is used without making the nut slot wide enough. The string rides on the edges of the nut, not on the bottom. I'm just mentioning this because.... in all my decades of playing, I've actually never broken a nut... although I've always been careful to make sure the nuts slots were a proper fit to the strings being used.

actual ivory is expensive (where it's not illegal) and a little softer than bone.

also, any nut blank you get is not going to "fit". they have to be sanded and shaped for your instrument.

(oh, +1 to nuts only breaking when the wrong-sized string is jammed onto them.)
