Free plugin by iZotope. Mastering plugin that can capture audio from any source (streaming audio, desktop player, DAW), display the analysed EQ curve and use it as a reference against another audio source. Could be streaming audio or a mastering track or stems. Very easy to use. Been waiting for a plugin like this that can capture streaming audio. The purple colour is the saved reference EQ curve, the white line is the audio being played.

I’m an Indie/DIY musician so any tool that gets my mix into the ball park, I’m grateful. And it’s free. It’s becoming more and more of a level playing field with the major labels. There’s a bunch of iZotope playlists with reference tracks of different genres on Spotify. It’s under izotopeinc.

I love talking about the music business. Just completed a music business and marketing plan. Took me 6 months to research and compile it. Kind of interesting that everything you need to know, isn’t in the one place.

Haha, that’s not true. What is true is iZotope have a very good support system. Plenty of documentation and video tutorials
It is true. Their emphasis lately has shifted away from pro-oriented products to their quasi-AI focused platforms, curve matching products like this one, and their tonal balance controls which work off of both of those concepts. Their support of their product lines is a separate concept.
