J Bass Wiring Idea

I couldn't think of a creative name for the thread, so that'll do. It's 3:30am here in England and I've just come up with an idea to try and get the best possible tone control out of a Jazz bass.

In another thread I created what I thought MIGHT work as a schematic to have a Blend/Vol/Tone setup, but with a DPDT switch to bypass Blend and make the bass run in series. It involved using a resistor (or/and a diode), here's the schematic:
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
(Not tested, but I intend to.)

Now, I was sitting down watching rubbish T.V. when I thought of adding tone control for each pick up when they're in parallel, blend control when they're in parallel and a switch to put them in series and still keep individual tone control. I'm not sure how well this would work, as I currently don't have the spare parts to test it, but do any of you have experience with using tone control before blending or volume? Will it negatively effect anything? Will the above schematic even work?

Any input, positive or negative, is welcome.

Merry Christmas. :D
