I have Am Pro II Jazz and it's been great. But since I've put Lollars in it - it's the whole new level. It's everything I want it to be, especially neck pickup can sound anything between warm and straight filthy. I can't recommend these pickups enough.

I have Am Pro II Jazz and it's been great. But since I've put Lollars in it - it's the whole new level. It's everything I want it to be, especially neck pickup can sound anything between warm and straight filthy. I can't recommend these pickups enough.
I've heard recordings w/Lollars and love them ... but they are not made in a split/stacked coil / noiseless configuration. I do a lot of recording and can't have the 60 cycle hum potentially lurking. How do you get around that?
I do not have any problems with hum. And I do play a lot with configs other than both pickups open. Mainly 100/80, 100/0 and 0/100 with tone off (Jaco).
But I am not gigging / recording pro and you can have other opinion. They are not truly noiseless by any means, but imo they are reasonably quiet. I do not experience any sort of hum that could bother me at all.

My producer hears static and other noise that I cannot hear. Clean signal = not getting fired!
Well...I would pick Custom Shop 60s...
Had SB1 in my 76 Jazz...never sounded great
I put PV74s in my Geddy....sounds fantastic. but not in 60s position Jazzes...My Fav in Geddy
CS60s in my 60 spacing Jazzes...definitely an improvement...but prefer PV64s
I have a Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV loaded with a DiMarzio Model J DP123 and a Model P DP122. I love, love, love the tone of the pickups together and separate. Punchy and clear. Just the right amount of thundering lows, growling mids, and sweet highs. Everything I think a bass should sound like. And they are hum canceling. Try ‘em out.

G&L JB5 strings do not align with the pickup pole pieces and the low B sounded different from the rest, it annoys me.
Change to DCBs and the low B finally sounded equal to the rest of the strings.

Possibly the B string sounded different for other reasons than pole alignment.

I just installed a Delano JVMC FE in my jaguar shortscale in the bridge position (paired with a PMVC FE in the neck). I feel the JMVC lacks some high end. Even on full vol, full tone, I can't get it to be edgy and a bit more direct in the treble frequencies. Even if I cut the mids and up the treble on my amps. I am running it on V V T, 250k pots, passive wiring. I'm wondering if a 500k tone pot might brighten things up. Then again, maybe I have the wronrg understanding of what these pickups can deliver in terms of brightness? Any users here who could advise? Go for all 500k pots for these high output pickups? I guess its worth a try.
Two things -- I have Delano JC 4 HE/M2 pickups in my main player, and I've never had any problems getting all the high end I want out of them; and I'd go with 500K pots just on general principles.
@BlueTalon how do you like the Delano JC 4 HE/M2 vs the fender super 55 split coil pickups?
I love them both! The Fender Super 55 is, in my opinion, the best sounding pickup Fender has ever made. I would say that the character of the Super 55 and the JC4 HE/M2 are similar. But I'm kinda shifting away from pickups with exposed pole pieces. Not enough to replace pickups in basses that have pickups I like, but any new basses are getting closed top pickups.
A lot of closed-top J pickups have blades in them rather than pole pieces, which means the strings are aligned no matter where they cross the top of the pickup.Possibly the B string sounded different for other reasons than pole alignment.

It's great that you were able to acquire a set! Fender doesn't make them any more, and they haven't for years, so they're getting a little hard to come by.
From what I can tell, they sound the same, but I haven't used EMG J pickups for 30 years, until just recently, so my memory might be fuzzy at best.
I dropped a set into a parts Jazz that I've been working on. Used it for a gig over the weekend, and they sounds fantastic.
