Jack 12 Help

I realize the BFM forum is probably the best place to answer my questions but for some reason I cannot login over there.

I am interested in replacing my GK MBX410 with a BFM jack 12. I just wanted a little background info before taking the plunge.

Will my amp (Hartke LH500) have a versatile enough eq to work with the Jack?

How will its output compare to my 410?

What is the average cost to build not including tools?

Thanks, I think I may have read that before at some point. I have been toying with the idea of building a jack for a long time, just have not been able to hear one.

The only part on which I can comment is the output vs. the 410. I haven't played or heard that specific 410, but I kinda doubt that the Jack 12 (w/3012HO, right?), as great as it is, has the same volume potential as the 410. It's probably not going to be too terribly far away, though. I'd put it in a good 310 range. If you went with 2 Jack 12s, then no contest.

I have 2 Jack 12 Lites, mine are loaded with Eminence 3012HOs (so a premium driver for this design). As iualum says, one will not outgun a 410, but will push it fairly close. Two will definitely be louder and the Hartke EQ should be fine*

*I am going from memory of using a similar Hartke into a 410 and there was a big gap between me using this rig (which I only used a couple of times) and using my Jacks, so this is very subjective opinion.

Hartke's passive tone stack eq can do just one thing and coincidentally thats the thing you could need, ie cut the mids and boost the lows ;-)
