jack bruce sound

Hello bass players

Ive just joined having found this site yesterday whilst trying to discover the jack bruce sound. obviously his sound changed through the years. but that live Cream sound is what im looking for. I have a 1968 EB3 long scale bass so thats a start. I dont have marshalls any more I have various Hartke heads up to 1000 watt which I rarely use my little 120 kick back for pub gigs is enough. I need a pedal to get the distortion and not sure of the amp settings re treble bass gain etc. I always have vol full on the bass again not sure of the settings on the tone etc on the instrument

hey, welcome to TB!

while you're attending to, and dialing in, all of those parameters for the jack bruce sound: don't forget to work on your chops since that was the real 'tool' he used to sound like jack bruce! good luck!
