Jack Casady Bass - Pickup Replacement/Upgrade

Tangential thought. It’s incredible how Epiphone have created one of ‘Gibson’s’ best basses. Why they haven’t made a Gibson version is beyond me
Old thread, but the Jack Casady bass is in fact based on the very obscure Gibson Les Paul Signature bass of the early 70's. Jack apparently found one in a store in the 80's and took a liking to it, the story about how the Epiphone signature model came to be can be found on the Flyguitars site.

I have one of those original '73 Gibson Les Paul Signature basses, and yes, it's almost just like a Jack, essentially the same body, different pickup and electronics. Still a very, very cool nice-sounding bass.
