JACK CASADY BASS PLAYERS CLUB!

Hey all! Are you a Gibson player as well as a Jack player? Doesn't even matter @Basvarken has produced a brilliant look into all of the Gibson and Epiphone basses (all of the offshoots too)! You can get it here. https://www.thegibsonbassbook.com. I bought it and I love it!

I also play an 1978 RD Artist (see profile pic) and a 1974 EB-4L.

Might have something to do with Haight Ashbury ? Just a Guess . lol
I was never on the Haight back in
Interesting figures for ages (yes, I'm 69). Lot of elder people here.
Who has an explanation for this ? Is it the bass, the forum, free time to play, ...

Here's my guess. Very few if really any new rockers play hollow bodied basses or have ever even seen anyone play one. So, who's there to influence the kids?

I personally love Jack and have seen him play a dozen time with Hot Tuna (even before the JCB was introduced) but the reason I bought a JCB is so that I could hear it when I play it unplugged....could have been an Artcore or any hollow body. I had no idea how great the tone was going to be when I bought the JCB and when I walk into a jam with it the kids all think it's some old relic. Despite the "sleeper" electronics, it's just not a modern bass and so it's not the kid's radar. More for us old guys.........what? more of what? what are we talking about? I can't hear you.......

I chalk it up to when we were kids . We all wanted to be Jack on The Fillmore stage with Jimi .
