Any neck dives issues with these basses?

Also, could anyone post photos with your bridge replacements? Cheers.

Of course this will depend on where you like to wear it. I keep mine high enough to have my forearm on the lower bout. This helps control the dive issue. That bout edge though, can be problematic - too high and you'll impede blood flow and increase discomfort. I've found the compromise spot and am willing to deal with that. I have relatively short arms so this may not be an issue for you if yours aren't.

Here's an admittedly low quality phone shot of the black Hipshot Supertone on mine. I also didn't care for the pg. Unfortunately I cannot find the tuners in black. There is only one model/style of these and they're in chrome - I don't feel like drilling new holes. They're not the best but they're good enough IMO.

Alpines White's where it's at. Ebony's very nice, too. Silver has no use for me at all. Hate gold.

Gold is my fav. Different strokes.

I had TI flats on mine, good choice IMO.

I'd love to score a white one so I could swap the black pickup (and hw) rather than painting my existing one. I think a white & gold JC would look a bit like a Gretsch White Falcon vibe (not as over the top blingy).

I am looking at GHS tape wounds, DR Sunbeams, DR flats, DR Black Beauties, LaBella Low Tension Flats, or maybe even Elixirs. Seems like I am leaning towards round core, round wound.

I am thinking light gauge / low tension to help keep neck/ bridge problems at bay. I am concerned about flats (which I like) killing the attack and note distinction. I played one at GC a week or two ago, and the rounds sounded good on it.

I am hoping to get the Casady next week. So I am still researching.

Get a good, wide strap with a suede back and you'll have no trouble keeping the bass where you want it.

I use Dean Markley Blue Steels Medium gauge. Jack Uses the same string med/light.
They sound fantastic and seem to last forever! Been about a year with my set and they
still sound great! Next I may try Elixers. I have them on my Pbass and may try tapewounds
on it, so may throw the Elixers on the Casady and see what happens. I don't like flats on the
Casady. Too much bottom with no top for me anyway. Others swear by them. I don't believe
string tension would pull out the bridge unless its ready to pop out. I keep the front of the
bridge slightly higher than the rear. From what others have said that front to rear rake
takes a bit of the tension off the bridge. I don't know about that, but that is Jacks
Recomendation for setting up the bridge and thats how mine is set.
What color Casady are you getting? I have the Silverburest and its stunning! I saw the
white one at GC and its beautiful too!
