This is a 2005 Epiphone Jack Casady Signature bass made in the Korea Peerless factory. Both the bass and the factory hard shell case are in exceptionally good condition. The only notable flaw is the twisted off head of the upper left tuner mounting screw on the E string which doesn’t affect performance in any way. The Hipshot USA Ultralights, including the D-Tuner, are installed with mounting plates once offered by Hipshot that match up to the original holes. I did not get the original tuners with it when I bought it. Selling only because I’m a sucker for flame maple and bought a 20th Anniversary Casady and can’t justify 2 of the same bass. Weight is 8.14 pounds via digital scale. The bass is strung with Ernie Ball Cobalt flats. It shows very minimal wear and the truss rod moves freely in both directions. DM me with any questions or concerns.

I’m considering getting another JC and modding it: 1.5 nut width and Gibson shaped headstock. Has anyone here done the headstock?

I’ve considered that on other Epiphones but not the JC. You might get someone over on the Jack Casady bass players thread.

I have a 2006 MIK Casady. Wonderfully made. Wonderful bass! Great classic sounds and more!

GLWTS! IMO, the MIK's are a better bass than the MIC's. Yours is one to get!

I have to admit my MIK has an edge in both tone and playability compared to my MIC 20th Anniversary. The tone difference is likely just string differences. The playability difference I’m hopeful will be equalized by leveling a couple frets and a good setup on the 20th Anniversary.

I started life as a drummer, but I got better
That one is in nice shape-- I'd grab it but I already have a black one, and a blue one, and my wife would scalp me-- the black ones look fantastic if you swap the metal parts for all gold plate

I considered repairing it when I first got it but soon realized that it’s a minor cosmetic issue and pretty insignificant at that. The Hipshot tuner is secured in compression with the nut on the front of theadstock. The normal installation would only have 1 screw to keep it aligned and from twisting under string tension should the nut come loose. In this case instead of a screw, there is a small post on the adapter plate that does the same thing. The purpose of the adapter plate is just to maintain a more finished appearance and not have exposed holes from the original tuners showing. When I bought my 20th Anniversary Casady which has stock tuners I compared the weight of the two and found that even with the plate there is a weight saving.

Nice Casady! I've got the 1999 Sunburst, with swapped out gold hardware and bridge, I didn't know they had a 20th anniversary maple?....Can you post a picture of it. Thanks. Greg.

Thanks for the pictures, yes, I remember seeing one..... very nice, I think they only did the one color, would have been nice if they had done some other colors too.....They only did a short run of the sunburst in 1999?
