sometimes the TR will handle that, sometimes not. You are the first person to say the JS neck messed up on them.

Thanks... So this is not common even with a thin neck? Its not like I abuse the thing or anything.

not common, nope. I don't think I ever had one of my jacksons do that or even my el-cheapo Ibanez units with the very thin neck.

sometimes the weather is a big factor with wood. cold-hot damp dry all rolling onto one "can" cause the condition you show, but I'll bet it was there all along and it just got worse to the point where you now notice it.

Ive spent hours over the last few days searching for a 90s Concert V online. No luck. Its like looking for a needle in a hay stack.

You just gotta keep looking every chance you can look on ebay and guitar center. It takes a while for one to show up. I paid out the butt for my first one and the one I just got was cheap so they kinda even out.

Found one ! Currently has EMGs and a passive tone control in it which is ok by me as I dont usually like active preamps.

What pickups would it have come with originally ? I really love the tone my PS5 has.

regular Jackson pickups like everything else. You could easily take those emgs out, sell them, buy OEM pickups and wire it up no-preamp style.

not for the 5stringers...anything that came out of a 5string "anything" would work.

Tried to swap the neck from my CMG to my PS5. Wont work. The CMG neck is way to wide for the pocket. Guess its time to fix the CMGs tone issues.

I cudda told you that Adam.... my charvel neck fits on my blue CMG though.....

The CMG neck is about 1/16 to wide for the Performer.

always loved those jackson 5'ers. i would think the reverse p should yield a tighter sounding low-b, which is great for a 34".

I love the reverse P set up, It makes the tone more even.

Both 22 frets but the screw holes on the neck were in a different location. That I could have taken care of but opening up the neck pocket is to much work.

maybe manufactured in different countries? that might explain the different neck specs.

No big deal, The Performer neck is nicely broken in and pretty comfy.

oh haha you are right, the PS5? I had to look at my blue one, ya 22fret like the CMG ---- and yes they made 2 neck pockets one is 1/16th smaller than the other depending on the year and model of bass.

I forgot ---- 21 frets on the older charvels.
