Jackson branded 12AX7/EL-34

Apparently Jackson/Charvel made some amplifiers in the 80's
A guy I know has a box of NOS 12AX7's and EL-34 rebrands... any idea who made these, anyone have any experience with these tubes?

Jackson made a a few amplifiers in the late 80's... so these would be rebranded tubes.
from my understanding the amps were made in britain by Laney, i wonder if they used the same mass tubes as back then and just added the logos

the 6ca7 is an american valve, i don't think they'll be the same ones as used in the laney unfortunatly, the laneys had mullards in at that time and those don't look like mullards.

Laney DID make the amps for Jackson. As to where, i'm not entirely sure. Could have been they were made in china.... but i'm not sure.

Definitely Laney built though.


I at first wanted to say these amps were designed by Lee Jackson... but that is totally wrong. Lee Jackson designed a few Ampegs... nothing for Jackson. And the relation is in name alone.


As for these tubes.... I'm not sure. I want to think there were still 6Ca7 Factories in the United States in the late 80's... If MammothVolume says they arent Mullards, then they probably arent. More likely than not those are just whatever brand was being rebadged at the time. If there a good price, (NOT up in the range of NOS 60's Mullards or RCA or anything like that) that what could it hurt?

thanks Guys, the internals of the 12ax7 /7025 looks quite different to any of the 12ax7 I currently have.

Apparently the 12ax7 just have Jackson 12AX7 \ 7025 on them

He wants 10$ for the pre amp tubes and $15 for the EL34's

I can use them in my Peavey VB-2 but I think they have to be matched.. and it would be a shot in the dark without a scope\tester

These tubes are barnd new from a big cardboard box with tube slots

We found out that these are chinese tubes!

Guess they're still for sale, just found that they're listed on CL. Are they even worth buying for $10?
