Hey guys can you order a custom bass from jackson custom shop. Iy fo how is the quality. I really want a kelly custom bass with some emg 35s thats my dream bass. thankyou

Jackson is the top of the line as Pointy 80's Basses go.

You get what you pay for.... and that is a top of the Line, American Made CUSTOM SHOP Bass. It will be pricey, with a few month wait, but, if you want it, GET IT.

Maybe try finding one used. I bought a Concert Pro V for $600 from a pawn shop.
LOVE IT!

There's a Kelly Bass over on Ebay for cheap. Customize it yourself & save some time & $$$$.

I didn't know Jackson was still making *anything* - I thought the name had been sold to some Chinese company. Go figure. I recall they were $$$ back when I was working at a store in the late '80s... Overprice, really - - you could get a nice pre-Gibson Tobias for the same price back then...

but if metal-pointy is what you gotta have, and you have the $$ - why not?

if so, I will agree with everyone...anyone will make you anything if you got the cash, but you won't see a Jackson C/S made like the "GOOD OLD DAYS", and you will STILL pay 3-4 grand for it....

you mean a KELLY like this NT/EMG of a friend of mine owns I Guess?

There are cheaper and better builders out there. With companies like Jackson, Fender, etc, you pay a lot of extra money towards the bass or guitar for advertisement, endorsements, HR departments, etc. Paying extra for these things does not make a better instrument. Keep in mind, the more radical shaped instruments generally aren't as comfortable in the long run. I don't mean to push my agenda on you, but some day you'll get old and a bass with neck dive will tire you out while you could have gotten the same sound from something more comfortable.
