It appears somewhat tiny being a medium scaled bass with baby horns and so forth but is flawlessly finished and possesses a voice that´ll make your knees buckle... Meaty? Most definitely. Big time.

i saw that but that cannot be correct. 50 red 50 black? what about all the ones with the flames on it as some were made with and without the flames.
either way, it is rare but many years ago i used to see them on ebay for around 1000. I guess if the guy wants to sell it for 2300 and someone wants to pay that..then 2300 is 2300.

and i've never seen one in red...only black or flamed. i would like to know more about them. this thread is just about the best internet resource on these basses (meager as it is). mine has a serial number under 500.

even the 1998 catalog says black finish, nothing about red ( flames graphic optional ) - maybe the guy meant 100 total 50 with flames?
This reminds me of the TBX. Only 100 made ( so they say ), but many for sale thruought the years.

The USA Custom Shop made 25 black and 25 black with the flame job. I have 2 black ones. They are killer sounding basses but never came in red.
