Jaco, Max, and Chuck

Thanks for posting. I’ve been a Joni fan since high school when Court & Spark came out. I saw her at Jones Beach in ‘83 with Larry Klein (her then husband), Russell Ferrante, Vinnie Colaiuta, and I can’t remember the guitarist. Great band, great show. I saw Jaco with Weather Report in ‘77. I used to go up to Laguna and Dana Point to see Max play with his band about 10 years ago. You couldn’t find a more genuine and modest guy. The analysis of the bassists on the Hejira tunes is very interesting.

I have said it before and I will say it again, dude must be an incredible music teacher and band director. Those student have access to a top flight bassist and educator.

Thank you! I really appreciate everyone taking time to watch my musings.

I read this quote and it struck a chord with me. I'm not a band director, but I do teach music at a few different schools in my area. I think when I started these videos, I really wanted to do them for my kids, with them in mind and hoping that they would get something out of them. I'm amazed at the response my little mom-and-pop channel has received over the last year, but I still try to approach my videos with my high school and college students in mind. I'll walk into school a day after posting like, "did you see the new video?!" and get feedback right from them. It keeps me focused on why I started doing it. I guess it's like the old technique of playing to one person in the audience...Anyway, thank you again. I'm glad to have your time and I hope I can continue to learn and grow on YouTube.
