Jaco Pastorius FAQ ?

Well that seems very clear to me - so what I am asking for is a FAQ that details Jaco's legacy - so when somebody comes along and says "I don't get Jaco " - I'm not going to ignore it, but I can point to this FAQ rather than having to type reams and reams of stuff!

I don't see what's so difficult to understand about this?

Bruce, post it in bassists and I'll close & link it to the players thread I linked to earlier... would that work for you?

You could always write it up as a newsletter or frontpage piece as well.

You know though.... I'll then have allow one on The Ox since he is a much earlier, rock version of "the guy that changed the face of bass".

This would take a bit of time ...and many people have done it much better than I ever could - like Pat Metheny reproduced on the official Jaco site

there are legal issues with a direct copy... I've contacted them seeking permission to reproduce some select bits and pieces explaining your reason behind the FAQ.

I'll keep you posted!
