I see now that he has a lavalier microphone which is picking up his breathing and finger noise. Too bad there wasn't a decent setup for him.

True...honestly, though, I was OK with it.
The breathing & the finger noise is all part of it.

I might be wrong, but I think it’s Gordon Johnson, Jimmy’s brother. Great player who was in Maynard’s band in the same period that Erskine was in the band.

Thought that was him (by the time frame). Truthfully, this is the 1st time I have seen him.

Mark Colby who was also in Maynards band released some solo albums at the end of the 70’s with Gordon doing some excellent fretless work.

drank a pot of coffee and just really enjoyed this and i dont know if its because im getting older but this style of music that was in the movie really had me. Its a genre i would never listen to in the past,but i was touched from this,Thank you J_bass and Cheers!......
