Jacopoxy

yeah i been clearing out `saved to favs' in my spare time,i saved a link someone posted up here about Jacos Jazz,i'm still saving it but i had this uh,question

all the talk about how THE BASS has IT"S tone and was played by all these famous folks one evening in New York and then compared to the RIssue by Fender(with me here so far?)

the story talks about how Jacos J was busted into pieces and then drenched in epoxy to`save it' it even sports an obvious lamination on the headstock, what i'd love to hear `comment'on is;how could the tone be orig if it was encased in epoxy and if that's SO great why is it that`nitro' is touted as a better`tone' coating than `poly',,get what i'm asking?=should we all bust our basses up then glue back together with a gallon of epoxy so they'd sound`better'

i'll have to come back on this and find a link.late lunch deal for me today
