I jumped in and just ordered one. Currently using Mesa WD800 with D800+ as a spare. I absolutely love them both! Cabs are Subway 115, 112 and 210. I'm extremely satisfied with what I have but I have a condition and simply must try this. What's one more cool amp to have fun with? It's what I do. I have the Capo also, for about 6 months now and love it going into the WD800.

Capo into Sisma sounds great too

A WD-800 comparison is definitely something I'm interested in as well.

I'm thinking they will be quite different but we shall see. I would never part with my Mesa heads though. They both sound different and I love them both.

I've parted with all my Mesa but I'm curious too to have your opinion.

If anyone in the U.S. wants to try a SISMA head I'm open to send one to a fellow TB user that will test the amp as much as he wants and then send it to another interested player. I'll take care for shipping over the pond. Just drop me a DM, I'd love to read more reviews and feedback here.

I'll have feedback from some excellent bassists in my area. We're planning a listening party. I'm pretty confident that I will dig it. Very much looking forward to playing through this head. I'm sure I will be booked by the time it arrives so it will be out with me. I will use the same pedals that I run into the Mesa. Tuner, Capo, Empress bass comp and an Empress paraeq MK II for trouble issues with certain venues. Sometimes an Arkham Oracle which I don't think I'll be using live anymore as I think Sisma will fill that need. And of coarse it will be tried in a few studio situations. I will let you know how all goes.

Capo into Sisma sounds great too

Curious how you're using these together - I have both as well, and I'm still trying to figure out my best use cases for each preamp (SISMA, Capo A, Capo B)...

I don't have those (receive the Capo next week finally) but I think the Sisma can be a nice clean platform ? And then use the A side to get a nice EQ and character with both J F preamp. Use the B side for more grit or fatness, or as a level boost maybe. And only use the EQ on the Sisma to fit more in the room you are playing, cutting resonant frequencie or boominess ?

Exactly what I do.

I prefer Capo followed by a clean Sisma than Capo alone or Sisma with a high gain.

What tone are you after too ? I don't know if you have used darkglass for exemple or other pedal with "real" high gain (at some point it is inaudible to me with too much gain).

Does the F side with Bite got kinda the agressive tone the J side got ?

First, we're only talking about very subtle variation of goodness here.

Second, there's nothing I really need here, but since I have both, it's fun to experiment.

That said, I play in a indy rock band, no metal here. I'm looking for 3 tones, depending on the songs:
1. clean (but warm)
2. "at the edge of breakup" (light grit when I dig in)
3. distortion - but audible, and not too cold

I first bought Sisma, then Capo to be able to change my tone with the footswitch. I discovered that I prefer to keep Sisma's gain clean (tone one), and use Capo for light grit (A side, middle style with a light EQ and the Bite on) and full distortion (B side or A+B).

when recording I could go directly from Capo to the DAW, but I noticed that I prefer with a clean Sisma in between - it's a bit warmer, fuller, I don't know but I love it.

It's just the current result of my exploration...

I was perfectly happy before buying theses expensive toys, and I could do without, but it's the first time I got exactly what I want.

Also I could probably get the same result (almost) with my HX Stomp, but Jad Freer boxes are so intuitive and rewarding compared to HX Stomp's UI.

And I had a few dirt pedals before that I never really liked.

Nice tone there, I think...for the price a Stomp is for sure way less expansive but I don't want to dial for hours to get a tone.. :/

I do like from what I hear the vintage side with the Bite engage. It is growly and solid. I just start using less distortion, only the tech 21 Geddy Lee for metal, but I understand more how to use EQ and boost around 1kHz to get more punch and agressive attack. I heard myself much better with that. I haven't change my compressor settings too and definitely want to use it differently.

Those weeks waiting for the Capo are so long lol. Will see, sound great

Welcome to the club. I hope you enjoy your first gig with Sisma. Just for curiosity: what cab arr you going to use, and what amp did you have before?

I was using a Mesa WD800 with a Mesa 800+ as backup. Smaller gigs I use a Mesa Subway 115, larger gigs the 115 with Mesa 112. I also have the Mesa 210 which I'm gonna try with the Sisma tonight. I love my Mesa heads and they won't be leaving me no matter what happens. But I do enjoy different flavors. I've been using the Capo with the WD800 for about six months now. The Capo is coming with me tonight but I'm gonna just use the Sisma so I can fully experience just that. And a bit of an Empress bass comp also.

More gigs coming up this week with the one cab. Next week I have a couple dates that I will be using two cabs. I was between 9-10 o'clock on the gain and master so no shortage of power. Outside gig and not sure the fans came on at all. They are extremely quiet when I saw them running at home. The cat doing sound said the DI was great, nothing needed at all. Very nice tone and punch. That's about it for the first gig. Buy one if you're thinking about it. No regrets here.

I'd be interested if you can compare Sisma with the WD800 when you have the time, because before Sisma came out I wanted to buy a WD800 or TT800 but it was impossible to buy them from Europe

Is it louder than a Class D amp ? Or sound bigger/punchier etc... move more air ?
