A great, dynamic tune from the 70's was "Can't Get Next to You" by the Temptations:

Here's Jamerson's isolated track. Sounds competent, not particularly remarkable.



But listen to him within the fully-mixed song - it's sheer mastery!



He had such a great ear for what the song needed and an unmatched ability to drive the tune forward!
