After posting to this thread I got about halfway through Janek's vid, which to me felt like just airing dirty laundry for views. If intended to be an apology he could have led with the "I'm sorrys" up front instead of playing up the controversy.
I don't fully comprehend MG's butt-hurtness in the matter…Maybe he feels compelled to define himself to the world given who his father was? Other folks have used various combos of <34" scale, E-C tuning, exotic woods, custom electronics, ramp, and classical guitar technique. Did MG ask Gary Willis for permission to use a ramp, Rick Turner for an OK on whipping up yet another hippie sandwich, or have a seance to get Segovia's blessing on a RH plucking technique used for hundreds of years? Did Anthony Jackson chew out anyone playing a 6-string contrabass after him?

I didn't know that an endorser can patent their signature bass that looks exactly like a Fodera, but hey, I've seen weirder things.
With that said, Gwizdala appears to step up his sales tactics on his channel's videos lately. I guess he has decided that earning money on Youtube is the way to go (apparently after talking to Neely), and he's pushing hard to develop that income.
I can see where he is coming from because I understand starving musicians completely.
Definitely would like to see a video just on his new F bass. Never played, but interested to see how it compares to my Kiesel. I've heard complaints on Kiesel but mostly Jeff Kiesel and not their basses. Mine was built for NAMM a while back. Maybe that's why the fretboard feels great and the fit and finish as well. It's up there in that regard with Sadowsky, but not in the pickups and preamp though.
