Hello! I wanted to know if anyone ever swapped necks on Japanese basses? I have a fernandes Revival jazz bass I would like to change the neck on. Its basically a copy of a early 60 jazz bass. I live in Japan so there are tons of used Japanese basses for not that much money. I wanted to buy a used bass and take the neck and hardware off it to put on the fernandes. But I am not sure about the neck pocket. Does anyone have this experience? I was gonna get a fujigen j standard bass and do this. Thanks for the help

Japan bass neck swap info

I have an early 80's Electra bass that a swapped the neck fro a mid 80's Electra neck and it worked fine. There is no way of knowing till you try it though.
Did it !! Put the fng j-standard neck onthe Fernandes revival 1981 body. Not perfectly tight but fits great! Neck screws were aligned. Plays and sounds great!
