hey guys, I currently am using a ibanez gsr190j bass from the ibanez jumpstart. Since im in a band I usually have to leave tht bass where i practice and i have nothing to take to my lessons or play home. I was thinking about getting a gd quality bass tht doesnt cost much. I live in montreal...so would someone tell me how this bass is and if they would recommend it plz? If u dont recommend it, which would be another nice bass tht I could get tht sells in montreal?

I am not in Montreal, however I have played a couple of Turser jazz basses and was kind of impressed with them. They are not going to set the world on fire, or cure disease, but if you are looking for a good players bass for not a ton of cash, why not get one? But play them before you buy them. There can be some issues with manufacture or fit and finish.

Tursers are entry to mid level, Asian made basses so don't go expecting something along the lines of a custom shop bass and you will be fine. I also want to say again, play one. You are used to an Ibanez neck, the Turser neck will feel different to you. And while you are at it, how about other Ibanez basses, or used Ibanez?

Also, do not overlook used MIM Fenders or Squier jazz basses from the VM or CV lines. All these basses should be in the same relative price line for you...
