Jazz bass neck pickup in pbass location?

hi guys!

I’m about to order a pbass body (I prefer non-offset bodies) with 2 jazz pickups.

I slightly prefer the 60’s jazz bass tone over the pbass tone because of the extra clarity.

One thing I like about the pbass is that when I anchor my thumb on the p pickup there is no clank or fret noise compare to the jazz. I play hard, I know!

Someone here ever tried routing 2 jazz pickups, the bridge pup in its normal location but the neck pup in pbass E and A coil Location?

Thanks for your help!

It pretty much already is.

Pretty sure I got this here at TB, but can't find the link to the original...

Many thanks to the author.
Should be noted, this includes a Mustang bass, which is a different scale length (30") than most of the other bases, so the comparison of pickup position on that one is not 1 to 1. Some of the Gibson basses may be 30" or 32" also.
