,I'm looking to replace my pickups in my Amereican 1990s jazz bass. I think I've narrowed my choices to either .
Seymore Duncan quarter ponder Jazz bass
Lindy Fralin 4 string jazz
Nordstrand NJ4.
any thoughts as to which one to choose

I guess I should explain,I"ve been lucky enough
to have owned an all original 1962 Fender jazz bass all my adult life(.I worked all summer to save $325.00 to buy a year old bass back in 1963.) Now It's worth to much to take out of the house it was appraised at over $10,K.

Thus I'm looking for some great sounding pickups for my 1999 Jazz Bass, its just to wimpy sounding,so anyone with some experience give me a shout out

My personal likes are Aguilar Dual coils. Maybe someone can give you info on the Nordstrands. I like the Aguilar Dual coils because they retain 95 percent of the Vintage sound of their single coils while being absolutely quiet.

Definitely the Nordstrands NJ4's. Never heard a negative feedback about them. They are a good compromise between vintage and slightly modern.
On the other hand, I would not recommend the quarter pounders as some love them and some hate them (as I do). In my opinion they are obnoxious pickups with no texture and totally scooped. They are pretty much at bass pickups what a Quarter Pounder hamburger is at fine cooking. (Hence the name right?). I like the Frailins but they did not blow me away as I expected. I found them, as other have said before, too "polite". You may want to consider the Fender Custom Shop '60s too if you want your jazz bass to sound like a nice vintage jazz bass.
It might not rival your pre-CBS Fender but get closer to it.
