Jazz Bass Wiring Issue

I hate to bring this up again but I'm still having the same problem where everything is quiet as a lamb so long as I'm touching the strings, bridge, bare pot, or control plate. Obviously there's still a grounding issue.

BUT WHERE?!

Here's what I'm looking at now (green is what I added, including resoldering the bridge ground to the ground plate under the PU):

*One of the black wires off each pickup is actually to a plate underneath it; the bridge one connecting to a copper wire that runs under the bridge.

I swear to god I'm about to throw this !@$%$&@%#&$ thing in the nearest river.

if it's quiet while you're touching the strings, then everything's normal.

you can somewhat reduce the electrostatic buzz by shielding the crap out of the bass, in the pickup cavities as well as the control cavity.
