Jazz bass with an S1 switch and blend pot

Wire the neck pickup's hot lead to the third pole of the S1 switch, with the "series" throw to the output of the blend, and the "parallel" throw to the neck pickup's input on the blend. Then follow the usual VBT scheme, with the series/parallel switch wired in.

In series, the pickups will bypass the blend pot, and run straight to the volume.

You can keep the resistive load of the two pots in the circuit, or you could also remove the load.

Here's a diagram for a 3PDT switch, but it works better with the first and second terminals of the volume pot swapped around.

What i'm planning on doing is using a push/pull knob instead of an actual switch. That, blend, and tone.

With a push/pull, you only have two poles, so you can't bypass the blend pot. In series mode, the blend will attenuate the volume when set toward the bridge pickup.
