Nine beautifully recorded jazz standards, just a fabulous clarinet and DB player; beautiful tone, wicked melodic and harmonic concepts, flawless execution, unbelievable intonation and groove. Improvised jazz at the master level. I started listening to it Saturday afternoon and haven't stopped yet, finding more and more hot ideas to steal! This has already gone to the top of my transcription pile! As I listened to it, I kept making comparisons and contrasts to Scott LaFaro, Eddie Gomez, Bill Evans trio, Chris Potter, and Dave Liebman; lot's of great stuff here if you love great improvised jazz.
