My 2010 Am Dlx Jazz (with standard issue N3 pickups and the 18v preamp) has an issue with the neck pickup and/or the blend pot. The only mod that has been done to it is shielding the body cavities with copper tape soldered at the seams. This was done by a top-notch guitar tech as part of my initial setup a couple of years ago. Everything else is stock.
About two weeks ago, I noticed that when I turn the blend pot towards the "neck solo" position, my overall volume drops and just as I reach about 90% of the way to the full on neck pup position, the neck pup cuts out completely. When I dial it back around to the bridge pup position, things work just fine, though I'm definitely getting more bridge pup in the blend even at the midway point.
Any suggestions as to how I might approach diagnosing and solving the problem? Thanks!
