Jazz Replacement Necks

All - I posted this in luthiers, but wanted to cast a wider net on this.
Thanks!

I am looking for a Jazz Bass replacement neck as follows - maple / rosewood, bound and blocked, adjustable truss rod at the TOP, not bottom of neck. The last part is what I have found to be hard to find. I don't want to take off the neck to adjust the truss rod.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Warmoth necks are heavy and prone to neck dive - something about the 2 metal rods they have in them (is it 3?). Rock solid, though. Aside from USA Custom, which I don't think does the binding you want, they're one of the few places you can get "made to your specifications" necks that I know of.

Here is a suggestion. Purchase a Made in Japan Fender '75 reissue jazz bass for the neck and sell the rest of the parts.

As far as I know (I have 2), SX necks will not fit the standard Fender neck pocket.

I know I brought this up in another thread. Are Squiers not the same pocket as Fenders? Because the SX Jazz maple/block neck fit my Squier PBass body perfect...

I know you might not want to hear this, but a blocked/bound with the truss adjustment at the headstock is going to be VERY difficult to find unless you buy a MIJ '75RI and part it out, as stated above.

Here's another option: If the body you're putting the neck on has no possible collector value and you are using a pickguard, have your tech rout a small notch so you can adjust it. It will be covered by the pickguard (or he can rout the notch into the guard as well), you won't have to remove the neck, and your neck choices will increase. And -if it matters- you'll be in better company appearancewise, as most of the better P and J-style basses have their truss rod adjustment at the body end.

Guys - I have a 75RI and love it! I just tried to buy another from Japan only to find out Ishibashi Web Shop is no longer exporting to the US! Bummer, because I was going to buy one and keep the neck. I will keep looking here and on the 'Bay, but they don't come up too often.

That's what I did. Works great, but you need to get a 20 and not a 21 fret neck, as it won't work with the overhang.

I think I might have stated above I am only interested in a rosewood neck. I saw this one and got excited for a brief second, until I opened the picture and saw it was maple! I already have a Sadowsky with a maple blocked neck, so I have that part covered. Thanks for pointing it out though!
