One of the best albums out of any Airplane incarnation, and one of the best live albums in general.
The live version of Somebody To Love is just as skillfully sung as the original version on Surrealistic Pillow, and Fat Angel (featuring Jack Casady on rhythm guitar and Marty Balin on bass) is pretty good. If I remember correctly, Jack was playing his Epiphone Jack Casady signature model bass and a Fender Jazz around this time.
The one song I never understood was the "Turn Out The Lights" song towards the end of the album. If I remember correctly, they had a faulty light fixture that kept distracting their playing. I believe that's Paul Kantner saying "Turn down those lights, or we'll send Owsley out there to fix it!"
There is some very good materia on that album. Play this and Surrealistic Pillow back to back, and you will understand why the Airplane were such an influential group.
