Jellyfish spilt milk

the breakdown of bass players on the Bellybutton album

Jason Falkner - That Is Why, The King Is Half-Undressed, She Still Loves Him and Calling Sarah
Steven McDonald - All I Want Is Everything, Now She Knows She's Wrong and Baby's Coming Back
John Patitucci - The Man I Used To Be, I Wanna Stay Home and Bedspring Kiss

On Spilt Milk Tim Smith and T-Bone Wolk are credited, however, it seems as most (if not all) of it is Wolk, who was brought in and recorded over Smith's existing parts. As someone opined earlier in the thread that is indeed Patitucci playing upright bass on Russian Hill but he is not credited on the album artwork. This also applies to Jay Bennett (Wilco) as well. He plays guitar on the last two tracks (track 11 is Bennett doing the verses and Jon Brion doing the rest), but was brought in after the artwork had already gone out for printing. Bennett was in Titanic Love Affair at the time, who like Jellyfish were on Charisma Records.

actually in regards to Bellybutton, Jason and Roger always credit Steve McDonald with playing on two tracks in interviews
All I Want Is Everything and Now She Knows She's Wrong and Jason says in the liners for the expanded Bellybutton CD-set that he plays bass on
five tracks, Steve 2 and Patitucci 3.

Wikipedia credits McDonald with a third (Baby's Coming Back) but that's most likely wrong and it's Jason on that one. I think that misinformation comes
from an early internet fan site that got that wrong.
