Part of me wants to buy one to see how it is, but I really don't want to support such a blatant ripoff.

Well, OK. Note 25" scale! And material for body is left unmentioned as well. It's a cute toy but not much of a serious instrument. For $200 I'd put it in the same category as the horrible AK-47 guitar I bought just as novelty-joke thing. It hardly works as a guitar and I'm sure this barely works as a bass.
And even as a joke I'm very reluctant, given the massive talent Jens has and the fact he's still alive and producing. Not quite the same thing as buying Fender Jazz clones etc.
Anyway, if you want to have a weird shaped "art" bass without the huge cash outlay of a True Ritter, then order a nice Wishbass. I've got two of them. Authentic, by the true artist. And not that much more than this toy! (learn more in wishbass mega threads)

My guess is a knucklehead measured the fretboard and assumed that's the scale length.
I must admit there is one feature I like. The extended fingerboard past the 24th would work awesome for slapping.
Ritter in body shape only! Nothing else about that bass says Ritter! 99% of us bassists would only glance and keep on moving!

Yeah since about the time Phil got his Osirus. I have thought about picking one up and modding the hell out of it, but the pictures are so bad, you don't really know what the neck looks like or anything.
In all honesty, I could not bring myself to pay money to a seller of a Ritter knockoff. For some reason, I want to honor Jens' quality products.
Maybe sometime in the future, I hope fortune may happen to smile upon me and maybe I would be able to afford a real Ritter Jupiter 6. (Last time I checked the pricelist, Jens' upcharge from 6 to 7 string is just $300 so I might be more tempted for a 7.) A Ritter Jupiter 6 showed up in the TB classifieds maybe a year+ ago. Even though it was used, I still didn't have enough $$ to buy it.
